Today is “Helen Reddy Day” in West Hollywood!

I don’t want the release of Lady GaGa’s new video overshadow a much more important event today: Helen Reddy Day in West Hollywood!

I was unable to make it over to city hall this morning for the presentation and unveiling of a Helen Reddy pictorial postmark designed by artist Nicolosi.

It is so great to have one of the very biggest pop stars of the 70s (now in her early 70s) back out and about after a decade of retirement in her native Australia. She was missed, she still looks good and sounds GREAT so let’s enjoy every minute of this second act.

While I missed today’s happenings, hope to be there next Monday when Miss Reddy is also scheduled to be the keynote speaker at a special celebration of Women’s Equality Day with “A Night In Herstory” at the West Hollywood Park’s Public Meeting Room, Council Chambers and Auto Court located at 625 North San Vicente Blvd.
