Thursday Morning Man: John Driscoll!
The red carpet at the Daytime Emmys was literally a wonderful case of so many men, so little time.
But I talked to as many soap hunks as I could and one of the absolute nicest was John Driscoll who plays Phillip Chancellor IV on The Young and the Restless.
Yesterday, I posted John’s lovely comments about his on-screen father Thom Bierdz but today, it’s all about him as our Morning Man!
John, who turned 29 last week, attended George Mason University and was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. But he was getting acting and modeling jobs right out of high school with his first recurring TV gig on the WB series Young Americans which also starred Ian Somerhalder and Kate Bosworth.
He then had a recurring role on Dawson’s Creek then in 2004, had a role on NBC’s controversial drama The Book of Daniel. John played a gay man in a relationship with a character played by Christian Campbell. That was followed by five years on Guiding Light before making his debut on The Young and the Restless last July.
In September 2007, John made his New York stage debut in Matt Morillo’s play, Angry Young Women in Low-Rise Jeans with High-Class Issues.
