Thursday Morning Man: Ismael Cruz Cordova!

Miss Bala may not have been a box office success but I saw it at the ArcLight in Hollywood a few weeks ago and was mesmerized by the beauty of Ismael Cruz Cordova.

His character is a very bad man in the movie but the actor is so good and fleshing out the role that we do see some hints of a soul.

And those eyes!

The actor had a memorable role in the recent film Mary Queen of Scots as the title character’s gay private secretary.

According to IMDB, the actor was born and raised in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico. At age fifteen, Ismael began working locally in commercials, TV and film shortly after joining his High School Drama Club. In 2006 he decided to further pursue his dream and moved to New York City where he studied at NYU’s Tisch Shcool of the Arts.

Cordova first gained national attention playing Mando on Sesame Street and also had a successful role in the Showtime original series Ray Donovan.
