Thursday Morning Man: Chris Paul!
Remind me to start following the NBA again. When I was a kid, I was such a huge Lakers fan that I used to keep game stats for two of my older brothers who were always amazed to look in the newspaper the next day and see that I had perfectly recorded every basket, free throw, personal foul etc.
Followed the team throughout college – the things you had to do when trying to pass for straight in the 80s – but the longer the shorts got, the more I seemed to lose interest!
But last night I was leafing through the USA Today sports section and saw a photo of the most handsome player: Hornets guard Chris Paul.
He’s out with a knee injury, which is a pity, so that’s why in the photo he was wearing a coat and tie and just looked extra sexy. Chris is tough to replace because of his scoring, assist, court presence and leadership, according to the article. He will have surgery today to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee and is expected to miss at least a month of play including the Feb. 14 NBA All Star game.
Just 24, Chris was the 2006 NBA Rookie of the Year and been named to the all star team three times. In 2008, he led the Hornets to the second round of the NBA playoffs and also won a gold medal with the US team at the Summer Olympics.
