Thomas Roberts gets on-air wedding congrats
Caught a big chunk of Thomas Roberts on MSNBC this morning and it was so nice to hear so many people – guests and fellow anchors – wishing him well as he prepares to marry longtime partner Patrick Abner on Saturday.
Among the well wishers was former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson who was on the show to talk about several topics.
It was six years ago, while an anchor at CNN’s Headline News, that Thomas came out publicly during the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association convention in Miami. I was in the room when it happened and became an instant admirer.
Some career ups and downs followed but Thomas has landed in his feet in a big way at MSNBC where he shows the world every day just how good he is.

Ummm…Cheyenne Jackson & Monte Lapka haven’t responded to my adoption requests but I still have my fingers crossed. However, if Thomas & Patrick are looking to adopt, like I said…I am a few years older than them, but that fact can be hidden with the properly fitted baby stroller. Super good-looking couple they are, indeed. So, even Thomas & Patrick don’t want to adopt me , all the best to you both for a very long, long time.

I absolutely adore Thomas and while I’m jealous as all hell of his fiancé, I am thrilled for them and wish them a long, happy and prosperous life.
Also loved how genuinely happy his guests were for him which only made Thomas blush lol. We certainly have come a long way but we still have a ways to go.
