This & That: Whitney’s new album cover; “The View” ladies talk “Bruno” and Rafael Nadal plots his comeback

Since the Afternoon Greg column has been devoted to Outfest this week, there are some shorter items I’ve been wanting to share so here ya go!
First of all, let’s just get this naked hunk out of the way.
I do not know who he is but I do know that he’s gotta be one of the most gorgeous men I’ve ever laid eyes on!
He’s featured this week on the really cool site Deep Dish of which I am a big fan. I saw the pic and had to share the goods!
Does anyone know the name of this guy? Does anyone have his phone number!
Okay, moving on.
The ladies of The View are back with new shows this week and I do not know if the terribly misdguided Elisabeth Hasslebeck has said anything about her pal, Sarah Palin, flaking out as the governor of Alaska. This is a woman who staunch-Republican Elisabeth actually made campaign appearances with.
So Barbara Walters and Joy Behar saw Bruno thisd week and share their thoughts about it with the audience.
Joy thought it was a hoot but admitted that she and her boyfriend Steve seemed to be the only ones laughing in the audience. Miss Walters, however, had some problems with the movie. Here is what she had to say:

It’s been years in the making and I wondered if it would ever happen. But Whitney Houston will have a new album out in September. We’re already heard one track and this week, the cover has been made public and it is a beauty. She looks healthy and ready to reclaim her throne as reigning pop diva. This will be her sixth studio album and first since 2002′s Just Whitney.

And speaking of comebacks, tennis stud Rafael Nadal has announced that he plans to play in his first tournament since The French Open next month in Montreal. Rafa’s bad knees prevented him from trying to defend his Wimbledon title and resulted in him losing his number one ranking to Roger Federer who won both the French and Wimbledon within a one-month period.

The Montreal tournament is an important warm-up tournament for the US Open which begins at the end of August because it attracts all the top players. Nadal has won four French Opens as well as a Wimbledon and an Australian Open. He only needs a victory at Flushing Meadows (where the tournament is held) for a career grand slam.

But, I don’t think Nadal will win in New York. Nor will Federer (gasp!). I predict the US Open will be won by a guy named Andy – I just don’t know if his last name will be Murray or Roddick.

**** And finally, I got my copy of GQ in the mail yesterday and the photos of cover man Channing Tatum are terrific and so is the interview inside. So, just for kicks, here’s another photo from his photo spread:
