Talk Show Round-Up: Cicely Tyson on “The Talk,” Dan Levy on “Kelly Clarkson” plus Stephen Fry & Ross Mathews

Emmy and Tony Award-winning star Cicely Tyson visited “The Talk” this week and got emotional discussing her career path and being a mentor to so many. Marie Osmond asked: “There are so many women that you have been their source of energy, especially in the African American community. People like Viola Davis, and Kerry Washington, they have said that you have been this incredible mentor and just this inspiration in their lives. When you hear people talk about you like that, how does that make you feel?” Tyson responded: “Well, one thing I realized is when you start off to accomplish something you just don’t know whether it’s going to happen, okay. But it never deterred me. I stayed on the same track.” Tearing up, Tyson added: “And so, when someone says that to me, it just lets me know that I made the right choice.”

“Schitt’s Creek” star Dan Levy said he was having the best day of his life appearing on “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” but was still totally mortified when Kelly shows him an old clip of him interviewing her for MTV Canada. Dan’s quippy criticism of his early days interviewing Kelly is too funny!

Stephen Fry is often hailed as one of the greatest storytellers of all time and now has decided to put his retelling of Ancient Greek myths to music. He joins us to discuss his love of storytelling and, following the devastating news that Caroline Flack passed away this weekend, Stephen will discuss why we all need to be more considerate on social media – having himself quit Twitter in 2016 when he fell victim to trolling.
