Sunday Morning Man: Greg Wise!
I pretty much fell in love with Greg Wise the second I saw him John Willoughby in Sense and Sensibility and felt so badly for Kate Winslet because, for her character, he was the man who got away.
Emma Thompson’s character may have ended up with Hugh Grant in the film, but off-screen, the actress got together to the handsome Mr. Wise.
He and Miss Thompson have been married since 2003 and they have a daughter.
The 43-year-old actor has appeared in several feature films since Sensibility but much of his work has been for British television including the superb 2008 miniseries Cranford. Other recent credits include Place of Execution, The Disappeared, Number 13, Trial and Retribution and According to Bex.
Today’s Morning Man was another fine suggestion from my pal Lorna Harris (CalifLorna.com) who always has some good Brits to recommend.

Mr. Wise is not only darling, not unusual in the entertainment biz, but something from within him projects and pulls an audience right in. Plus he’s a Taurus – hubba… nice earth sign. Riveting in “Place of Execution” in spite of myself.
