“Streep Tease” returns to LA this weekend for brief run and you can still get a ticket – if you hurry
I’m really looking forward to attending the opening night performance of Streep Tease tomorrow night at the Macha Theatre in West Hollywood.
It’s an evening of monologues from various Meryl Streep films that are performed by an all-male cast. The show was created by Roy Cruz who launched it as a small show in 2009. It came back again in 2011 and lasted another 6 months, and in June 2011 the show played at the prestigious Joe’s Pub of the New York Public Theater.
In 2012, Streep Tease had another successful, critical and box office run during the Hollywood Fringe Festival and again it played to sold out audiences every single show.
But if you want to see this run, you only have three opportunities since tomorrow night is sold out. There are also performances on Saturday at 8pm and on Sunday at 3 and 7 pm.
In addition to Cruz, the cast includes Matthew Bridges, Ryan Fisher, William Boy-Jenkins, Teddy Margas, Matthew Nouriel, Ryan O’Connor, Chris Pudlo and Joel Scher.
The theater is located at 1107 North Kings Road in West Hollywood.
