Snapped! Straight leading men of “Naomi & Ely’s No Kiss List” shared a kiss tonight at Outfest
At Outfest tonight, the world premiere of Naomi & Ely’s No Kiss List was held at the Ricardo Montalban Theater in Hollywood.
It’s a sweet, funny and touching movie about a girl (Victoria Justice) in love with her gay male best friend (Pierson Fode) and what happens when they get involved with the same guy.
The film, directed by Kristin Hanggi, has all the makings of a hit.
It should also do a lot to boost the fame of Fode and of Ryan Ward who gets involved romantically with Fode’s character.
After the screening, Hanggi, Justice, Fode, Ward and cast member Monique Coleman took part in a Q&A and they guys were asked if they ever had an experience like that in the film.
In answering the question, both actors came out as straight with Ward especially touching when he shared that his best friend in college was gay and in love with him. Their bond was so intense that Ward wondered if he should explore a romance. He abandoned the idea when his parents reminded him that he’d been found with Playboy magazines in his room before the age of 10.
But Ward’s first on-screen kiss ever is with Fode who was asked if Ward or Justice was the better kisser.
When Fode laughingly answered that it had to be Ward, the actors stood and shared another kiss in front of the crowd.
It was brief but I’m glad I was sitting in the front row and able to capture it for you all!
