Since tonight is the Tony Awards, it’s a good time to revisit her triumph as Margo Channing in Applause, a musical version of All About Eve that won her the first of two Tony Awards in 1970.
Her second Tony came in 1981 for the musical Woman of the Year for which she also won the Tony.
