Showtune Sunday: All About Dusty Springfield!

For more than a few decades now, I go through a Dusty Springfield phase where I start playing Dusty in Memphis again … and again … and again.

I just love this amazingly talented woman who left us far too soon – in 1999 just shy of her 60th birthday.

She left behind a beautiful body of work.

I especially love her big hair TV appearances in the 60s and have several of them here for you to enjoy.

Happy Sunday!

One Remark

“You Don’t Have To Say You Love Me” captivated me when I first heard her from a transistor radio on the beach in New Jersey in 1967. Since then Pet Shop Boys promoted and revived her career and even did a tune with her. English Rose of soul music. That raspy tuff vocal style was fierce.
