Shocker! “Bachelor” Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi break up – now they are asking for PRIVACY!

“Jake and Vienna have split. They appreciate the respect for their privacy at this time.”

Why do publicists even tack on the obligatory “they appreciate the respect for their privacy” phrase at the end of confirmation that a “famous” couple has split up?

In this case, it’s Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi who allegedly met and fell in “love” last season on The Bachelor then continued to bask in the spotlight as Jake competed on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars.

They met on TELEVISION and if they have not already given TV interviews they are arranging to talk to Entertainment Tonight or Extra or Access Hollywood this week. And let’s not forget The Insider. I think it’s too late for them to make this week’s People cover but maybe they can get a little picture in the upper corner?

Listen, I know The Bachelor has a dismal track record of any of these “couples” living happily ever after but these two didn’t pass the smell test from the very beginning. I did not buy it.

But, Jake is one hunky man so at least there’s that. And now that he has booked an acting gig on Drop Dead Diva, the REAL reason he even did The Bachelor can be pursued!

He wants to be a star!
