“Sex and the City” stars talk gay marriage and Sarah Jessica Parker expresses concern over rise in HIV
Whether or not you liked the latest Sex and the City movie, there’s no denying that it stars four sensational women.
Stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kim Cattrall and Kristin Davis spoke out in favor of same-sex marriage in interviews with TowleroadTV.
Most moving is when SJP is asked about the first gay friend she ever had. She grows emotional as she said he is no longer with us, one of many friends she and husband Matthew Broderick lost to AIDS.
She doesn’t want to see history repeat itself: “There seems to be, of concern to me, young men that are now sick again, or are HIV positive, and I think that because they were too young to see what happened 20 years ago, to know the devastation and the absolute heartbreak that accompanied that time.”
