“Sex and the City” Saturday: A tribute to Miranda and Steve, the show’s most believable couple

Carrie and Big get a lot more attention but my favorite couple on Sex and the City is, hands down, Steve and Miranda.

They have had their ups and downs from Steve losing a ball to Miranda getting pregnant while they were broken up to his infidelity, but they have weathered them.

I love the contrast between the easy-going Steve and the high-powered Miranda. They balance each other out so well and Cynthia Nixon and David Eigenberg are such terrific acting partners.

My favorite line ever comes in the second clip when Miranda finally admits that she loves Steve even though he has a girlfriend and seems happy. But he makes clear where she stands: “Miranda, you’re the one.”
