“Sex and the City” alum Cynthia Nixon announced she’s running for governor of New York
She has two Emmys, two Tonys and now she’s running for governor of New York.
Cynthia Nixon is making the announcement today. She writes on Instagram: “I grew up in a one-bedroom fifth floor walk-up, just me and my mom. I’ve spent my whole life in New York — this is where I met my wife, where I’m raising my kids, where I’ve fought for 17 years for better schools, better health care, and LGBTQ equality. I love New Yorkers, and I believe in us. We can make this state better for all our kids (and all our grown-ups, too!). We can take on the corruption and dysfunction in Albany and fix these problems ourselves.” Here is a link to her campaign website.
Trivia: It was Donald Trump who presented Cynthia with her first Emmy.
