See the LGBT brigade of David and NPH, Jane Lynch, Alan Cumming, Wanda Sykes & others on Creative Arts Emmys red carpet

Thanks to the Emmy snub, I was unable to be on the red carpet of yesterday’s Creative Arts Emmys in Los Angeles.
In year’s past, it’s been a great opportunity to score interviews with a lot of the nominees in a far less frenzied atmosphere than that Prime Time Emmys event which is next Sunday.
This year’s Creative Arts red carpet was filled with LGBT and LGBT-friendly nominees which is why I felt it was more important than every to be there.
The folks at PNKBNC, which is handling credentials for the Television Academy this year, clearly felt differently.
So here are some photos of staunch LGBT allies and activists Kristin Chenoweth and Kathy Griffin (both lost their Emmy bids) and out nominees Jane Lynch (she lost for guest actress but could win supporting actress next week for Glee), Alan Cumming (he was nominated for The Good Wife), Neil Patrick Harris and his partner David Burtka (Neil won two Emmys yesterday!), Lily Tomlin (nominated for Damages) and Wanda Sykes (nominated for her HBO comedy special).
Congratulations to all of the LGBT nominees and winners. You make us all proud for living your lives out loud and for showing everyone that they can have a thriving career AND be themselves.
