See new “Desperate Housewives” star Vanessa Williams with Bree, Gaby, Lynette and Susan!

HOUSEWIVES LINE-UP: This first promo pic from season seven of Desperate Housewives makes one thing clear: Vanessa Williams is being welcomed to the ensemble with open arms!

Nicolette Sheridan was on the show for five years and sometimes even she was not included in the cast photos that always feature main quartet Teri Hatcher, Eva Longoria, Marcia Cross and Felicity Huffman.

Not sure how the scripts will be (previous temporary housewives Dana Delaney and Alfre Woodard didn’t get the best storylines) but Vanessa seems like a lightening bolt of excitement coming off four terrific years on Ugly Betty.

I cannot wait to see how things unfold this season on Wisteria Lane!
