See Michael Douglas and Matt Damon as Liberace and Scott Thorson! How do they compare?
I don’t know about you, but I’m very intrigued by the Liberace biopic starring Oscar winners Michael Douglas and Matt Damon.
The film, Behind the Candelabra, is being directed by another Oscar winner, Steven Soderbergh who is just coming off of the hit male stripper flick Magic Mike.

Do Douglas and Damon capture Liberace and Thorson in appearance?
Thorson was 39 years younger than Thorson while Damon is a mere 26 years younger than Douglas.
Liberace died in of AIDS in 1987 at the age of 67. Thorson then exposed his life with the entertainer in a tell-all book and also sued for $113 million in palimony.

Cannot imagine! Wonder how many hours in makeup? Saw a long line of people lined up for cast call at the Palm Springs Convention Center a couple weeks ago…hmmm

I’m not buying Douglas as Liberace. I just hope he doesn’t turn the role into a characature.
