See Laverne Cox at The White House!

Today was the Pride reception at The White House and among those in attendance was the “it girl at moment, Laverne Cox.

The Orange is The New Black actress posted this photo on Facebook and wrote: The White House Pride luncheon earlier today. I met the President and First Lady. She hugged me and is a fan of @oitnb #oitnb #starstruck and #inspired

Laverne must have been especially inspired when President Obama made a surprise announcement that he plans to sign an executive order protecting all federal workers from gender identity discrimination.

This is in addition to the executive order he plans to sign to protect employees of federal contractors from anti-LGBTI discrimination.
