See Ellen Page’s visit to Brazil during Carnival in the latest episode of her series “Gaycation’
This is so terrific that Viceland is making episodes of Gaycation available on YouTube. In this episode, Ellen Page and her gay BFF are in Brazil during Carnival which is of particular interest to me because I went 11 years ago and danced with one of the local dance schools in the Samba parade in the Sambadrome with my friends. Ellen looks into this seemingly welcome LGBT existence and yet the country has a high level of violence against gays.

I watch the show and enjoy it. The interview in Brazil was chilling to say the least. Who knows how many gay men or perceived to be gay men that monster has murdered and gotten away with.
This is the type of behavior encouraged by Trump and the tea baggers. No matter which Dem you’re supporting and no matter which Dem wins the nomination…

As a gay man, I support all good things gay. I was pleased to learn that my cable provider recently added Viced to my subscription. That being said, I have watched both the ‘Japan’ and ‘Brazil’ episodes and find this series to be so overly dour. I don’t know why it is called ‘Gaycation’. I have respect for Ellen Page, but wish she would lighten up (a bit, please?), and why is it that the male host rarely speaks? I’ll give it one more try.
