See beloved gay icon Judith Light’s 2nd Tony win!
There’s a reason why a lot of gays cheered wildly in their living rooms last night when Judith Light’s name was called as the winner of the Tony Award for best featured actress in a play.
For decades this woman has been one of the staunchest of LGBT allies whose work on behalf on HIV-AIDS, The Point Foundation, and countless other LGBT causes. She talks the talk and walks the walk – always has.
So it’s joyous to see her win back-to-back Tonys! (She also won back-to-back Daytime Emmys in the early 1980s).
She won last year for Other Desert Cities and this year for The Assembled Parties. Judith had also been nominated in 2011 for Lombardi.
