Saturday Morning Man: Mark Hapka!
I didn’t really plan of this week being practically all daytime soap hunks but after meeting so many of them last weekend at the Emmys, it just seems to have happened!
Today I present to you Mark Hapka, the 24-year-old actor who plays Nathan Horton on NBC’s Days of Our Lives. I had just gabbed with his pal Brandon Beemer of Bold and the Beautiful and Brandon wanted me to play a bit of a practical joke on Mark. I tried it and the joke fell totally flat upon delivery because I forgot part of it.
Mark was sweet: “I’ll tell him you pulled it off.”
Mark left college in Syracuse in 2005 to come out to Los Angeles. He enrolled in acting classes at Playhouse West and worked in student films, before appearing in a 2006 showcase that won him representation and got a role in the 2007 James Franco film Good Times Max.
He then got a huge break when he was cast as Zach in the series Ghost Whisperer: The Other Side which lasted 16 episodes. A recurring role on Hannah Montana followed as well as guest spots on Greek and Cold Case. Mark has also had roles in the films Second Sight, Midgets vs. Mascots, and Near Fall.
Her joined Days of Our Lives last year.
