Sarah Paulson proclaims her love for Hollard Taylor: ‘There’s a poignancy to being with someone older’
Sarah Paulson is, for the first, time, speaking out publicly about her love for Emmy winning actress Holland Taylor.
‘What I can say absolutely is that I am in love, and that person happens to be Holland Taylor,’ Paulson tells The New York Times.
The actress, currently starring in TV’s American Crime Story: The People vs. O.J. Simpson, is 32 years younger than her 73-year-old girlfriend.
‘There’s a poignancy to being with someone older,’ she says. ‘I think there’s a greater appreciation of time and what you have together and what’s important, and it can make the little things seem very small. It puts a kind of sharp light mixed with a sort of diffused light on something. I can’t say it any other way than there’s a poignancy to it, and a heightened sense of time and the value of time.’
Taylor had earlier this year said of her relationship with Paulson: ‘It’s the most wonderful, extraordinary thing that could have ever possibly happened in my life.’
Taylor is best known for her role as the mother of Jon Cryer’s and Charlie Sheen’s characters on the long-running CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men. She has a long list of television, movie and stage credits and won and the Emmy fir her role in the ABC legal drama The Practice.
Paulson, 40, had previously been in a relationship with actress Cherry Jones. Before dating Jones, she had only been involved with men and remains attracted to both men and women.
