RuPaul, Randy Rainbow, “Pose” and all else that’s queer about this year’s Emmy nominations

For 14 years now, I’ve been singling out what’s LGBT about whatever award nominations have just been announced.

Some years it’s been meager. But not this year with the Emmys!

Just a quick glance down the list and I see out performers Billy Porter, Randy Rainbow, RuPaul, Ellen DeGeneres, Kate McKinnon, Laverne Cox, Jane Lynch, Billy Eichner, Cherry Jones, Sophie Turner, and Ryan O’Connell all getting nods.

RuPaul’s Drag Race got an astonishing 9 nominations and there are several LGBT portrayals but since I’m on vacation and the beach beckons, I’ll send you to a full list over at EW.com.
