RuPaul during Emmy win: ‘Listen to a drag queen’

“RuPaul’s Drag Race” won the Emmy for reality competition series for the eighth time, creator and host RuPaul took a moment to address right-wing attacks on drag and drag performers throughout the country: “If a drag queen wants to read you a story at a library, listen to her, because knowledge is power,” he said. “And if someone tries to restrict your access to power, they are trying to scare you. So listen to a drag queen!”
