Dylan Farrow’s accusations against Woody Allen dominate roundtable on “The View” and “The Talk”
Boy, this Woody Allen thing continues to rage.
Dylan Farrow’s powerful allegations against her adoptive father are devastating and detailed in a New York Times piece over the weekend.
The ladies on The View and The Talk had some powerful reactions with Sherri Shepherd and Barbara Walters coming down on very different sides. I don’t know how close Walters is to Allen’s family but she decided to serve as character witness for the director and this caused Shepherd to really go off!
Over at The Talk, Sharon Osbourne spoke eloquently of Mia Farrow saying she is absolutely on her side. She also makes the point that people still want to work with Allen, they want good roles. So they don’t want to believe Dylan’s story.
But co-host Sheryl Underwood, who was molested as a child, really brought it all home when she reminded everyone that this is about the child.
Says Underwood: “As the person at this table that this happened to…usually it’s the victim who is made responsible…Now this young girl has something that’s deep in her that she’s trying to manage. Let’s get her all the help that she needs so that she can manage.”
