Roger Federer won’t be lifting Wimbledon trophy
I’m just devastated that my favorite player of all-time, Roger Federer, lost in the quarterfinals of Wimbledon earlier today. He appeared headed towards a straight sets victory over Kevin Anderson.
But then it all unraveled and he lost 2-6 6-7 (5-7) 7-5 6-4 13-11 in four hours and 13 minutes.
It wasn’t too much to hope for another Federer victory even though he is a month from his 37th birthday. He was seeded first and the defending champion. He’s also the reigning Australian Open champ.
So for today, I will have to look back at those past eight Wimbledon titles he won in such magnificent fashion between 2003 and 2017.
