Roger Federer reflects on winning his first major tournament as a dad: “I’m excited about life”
It certainly does not suck being Roger Federer right now.
The newly-crowned Australian Open champion drank champagne with friends after his victory Sunday and after just a few hours sleep, met throngs of media in Melbourne for interviews and photos.
It’s the first major tournament Federer has won since the birth of his twin daughters last summer and that has made everything ssweeter for the greatest tennis player of all time.
“I’m excited about life, and there is not only tennis,” Federer said. “Having kids and being a father now and being married enhances everything. I’m such a happy person today to see how well everything is working out for me. It just makes me extremely happy, extremely relaxed and it allows me to play good tennis, and I couldn’t ask for more.”
Neither can we Roger.
