Roger Federer celebrates 20 years on the men’s pro tennis tour and returns to competition
It has been all about Rafael Nadal during the pro tennis tour clay season. Now the tour moves to grass which means the re-emergence of Roger Federer who sat out the clay season for the second year in a row.
Federer begins play on Wednesday at a grass tournament in Stuggart then will play next week in Halle as a way of preparing to compete in Wimbledon where he is the defending champion.
Federer, who is chasing a ninth Wimbledon crown, was celebrated over the weekend in Paris at a dinner marking his 20th year on the tour. IN that time he has won more grand slam titles than any other man and also spent the most weeks ranked number one in the world.
