Ironically it’s the political party that Caitlyn votes for that consistently calls transgendered Americans names, makes jokes about them, doubts their intentions and in addition tries to pass laws to make their lives tougher than they already are.
I hope in time Caitlyn accepts that the Republican Party of old doesn’t exist anymore. They weren’t very accepting to begin with but these days they have devolved into a bunch of angry, ignorant, homophobic, transphobic, misogynistic, xenophobic, racists.
I agree with FAEN 100%. I was listening to Caitlyn’s speech about acceptance and respect and thinking well what the heck are you a republican for? It’s incomprehensible how an LGBT advocate can fight for equality and support candidates that are AGAINST equality. It just doesn’t make sense.
@Joe/FAEN, It doesn’t make sense to me either. Nor do the rationalizations and explanations given by those who are both LGBT and Republican make sense to me. When we see the political action and behavior displayed by Republicans it can be difficult to take LGBT Republicans seriously. Regardless of Caitlyn’s political affiliation, I’m glad she’s out and hopefully she’ll be able to generate change within her own party. Even if the party did become LGBT friendly, I still don’t support their conservative ideology.
@Joe-If you read my comments you would have known I thought, as did others, that you came across as transphobic which is unacceptable and was surprising since you had never come across that way in the past. That was the reason for my outburst. I will always get ‘uptight’ when it comes to LGBT abuse.

I thought this was the best part of the speech. Thanks for your coverage on transgender related news and stories, Greg. It’s appreciated.

Very well said!

FAEN….STFU!
FAEN says:
@Joe-make a coherent reason why I should.
FAEN says:
@Larry-Well said. I have no idea why any GLBT person would vote against their best interest.

I was just doing to you what you did to me about a week ago.
Just having a little fun. Some folks on here seem so uptight.

Aside from that I’m rather laid back.
