“Queer As Folk” alum Randy Harrison lands role of emcee in national tour of “Cabaret”
Randy Harrison will be taking on a role that won Joel Grey an Oscar, Alan Cumming a Tony and has also been played by Neil Patrick Harris, among others.
The Queer as Folk alum, who played Justin Taylor for five seasons on the Showtime series, will be leading the national tour of the musical Cabaret next year as the Emcee.
Harrison, 38, will star opposite Andrea Goss who takes over the role of Sally Bowles.
The tour kicks off in Providence, Rhode Island, in late January and then goes on to Pennsylvania, Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, Kentucky, South Carolina, Texas, Louisiana, Florida, North Carolina, Maryland, Ohio, Nevada and California.
Harrison starred last year in the feature film Such Good People with Michael Urie but has focused mainly on theater since the show left the air appearing on Broadway and off-Broadway at the Public Theater and in productions at such regional theaters as Yale Repertory Theater, The Guthrie Theater, and Shakespeare Theatre DC.
