President Bill Clinton introduced “Bridegroom” at the Tribeca Film Festival in NYC tonight!
I’m so happy for Shane Bitney Crone and all involved in the documentary Bridegroom which premiered tonight at the Tribeca Film Festival.
The film was introduced by President Bill Clinton who received the GLAAD Advocate for Change Award on Saturday night, the same event where I interviewed Shane (story to come this week) and was so moved by him that I gave him a hug before we parted.
Here is what Shane wrote about the Tribeca premiere on his Facebook page: “There were so many special moments that took place tonight at the premiere of Bridegroom. I will forever be grateful to all of you for your love and support of me, my story, and this film. I am also incredibly thankful to President Bill Clinton for introducing Bridegroom tonight at the Tribeca Film Festival, and for using his voice to fight for marriage equality.”
Clinton, of course, is close friends with Linda Bloodworth-Thomason who directed the movie.
Below is the trailer for Bridegroom which I’m sure is a shoo-in to screen at Outfest in LA this summer.
