Pennsylvania lawmaker Brian Sims goes viral with brilliant ‘Little Mermaid’ lip sync video!

Gay – and very hunky – Pennsylvania State Representative Brian Sims has revealed a hidden talent in a Facebook video that has quickly gone viral.

I absolutely love it!

Sims, 37, decided to make a video of himself lip syncing to the song Part of Your World from Disney’s classic animated film The Little Mermaid.

‘I hope you’re having as fun of an afternoon as I am! #GoinCampin…with Ariel!, Sims wrote.

The former college football player and attorney who has become a well-known LGBTI activist during his three years in office. Earlier this year, he ended his bid for a seat in the US Congress and instead chose to run for another term in the Pennsylvania legislature.

His fun video has been viewed more than 400,000 times since Thursday.

Most of the feedback has been positive but a few people didn’t think it was behavior becoming of a state legislator including one man who wrote: ‘Cute but not sure our leaders need to be lip syncing children’s songs on social media. Do we want to see Obama singing “matchmaker”? Or have the world see Hillary singing a Rihanna song?’

To that Sims replied: ‘It’s a song. I was 11 when it came out. I like it even more at 37. Really, I appreciate the kind words and anyone who’d struggle to “respect” me because of this would have ample other reasons not to respect that are a lot more important to me.’
