Outfest 2018: Rita Moreno, Raul Castillo, and Gus Kenworthy add star power to festival’s first four days

OUTFEST: For those of you who don’t follow me on Instagram, I invite you to do so today! I don’t often have time to update Greg In Hollywood blog during the day but i can always find a few minutes to post a quick Instagram pic if I’m doing something fun and exciting.

Since last Thursday, I’ve been spending a lot of time at the Outfest Film Festival where I’ve seen some terrific movies and rubbed elbows with some famous folks including EGOT Rita Moreno, Olympian Gus Kenworthy, retired soccer star Robbie Rogers, Looking star Raul Castillo, actor Garrett Clayton, and many more.

Thursday was opening night at the Orpheum Theatre downtown. Filmmaker Angela Robinson was honored and she gave a rousing speech that was a call to action for the LGBT community to be politically engaged and to demand change as we have in the past. She was so inspiring. The documentary Studio 54 kicked off the festival and was followed by a dazzling disco-themed party that transformed the parking lot into another world.

Here are some photos from my first four days at Outfest so far this year. Many more to come!
