Oscar winner Christopher Plummer has died at 91
Every time I attend the annual The Sound of Music sing-along at Hollywood Bowl, I’m struck by how damned handsome Christopher Plummer is. Just breathtaking as Captain Georg Johannes von Trapp. I’d have left the convent for him in five seconds flat!
Sadly, the actor died today at the age of 91.
He won the Oscar at age 82 for his performance as a gay man in Beginners and was nominated again in 2018 for All the Money in the World. He starred in the box office hit Knives Out in 2019. More recently, he co-starred with Archie Panjabi in the Canadian drama Departure.
During his stellar career, Plummer also has won two Emmy Awards, two Tony Awards, a Golden Globe Award, a SAG Award, and a BAFTA Award.
Rest In Peace.
