After hanging up with Taylor Hicks the other day, I realized that it was the third time I’ve interviewed him. The first time was the year he won the American Idol crown and we chatted at the American Music Awards at the Shrine Auditorium. Then we talked again about a year or so ago for a newspaper column I was writing.

This time Taylor and I spoke for a story that’s just been posted on Fancast.com and I have to say, this is the happiest and most relaxed Taylor has seemed. He’s touring with Grease which took him to Broadway as well as the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood.

He’s really optimistic that Idol’s new judge Ellen DeGeneres will be great for the show: “I think Ellen will be good and I’m really excited to hear some of her opinions. I also think her jokes are funnier than Simon’s.”

   Thanks for the wonderful information about Taylor Hicks. I’m glad that you found him relaxed. I think the man is having fun. And that always helps. Love the picture too.

   Taylor Hicks has to be the hardest working entertainer. In addition to Grease he has been doing Concert shows with his band and seems he is constantly doing media interviews and performing for them, as well has charity appearences. I get tired just following his career. LOL. Loved his first two CD’s and anxious for the next one.
