Music mogul Clive Davis comes out as bisexual
People are saying this has been an open secret for decades but it is certainly news to me!
Clive Davis, the man who guided Whitney Houston to superstardom, tells Katie Couric that he is bisexual.
Davis, 80, tells Couric about how the end of his marriage opened his mind to explore homosexuality and find the relationship he is in today.
He said in an interview airing Tuesday: “When the marriage failed– in the mid ’80s, I opened myself up to the possibility that I could have a relationship with a man as well as the two that I had with a woman. I felt it was private, number one, as far as my not revealing it. But I did immediately (LAUGH) reveal it to the people who count.”
He makes clear that he is bisexual, not gay: “I’m still attracted to women. So that it– you don’t have to be only one thing or another. For me, it’s the person. I’m in a monogamous relationship. I respect monogamy. And I hope that this is understood.”

The courage to be honest, and the wisdom to know where the line is. Class act.

I wondered if this was the Clive in the Whitney movie “Bodyguard”. Very memorable as he wiped the blood from the envelope announcement of the Academy Award! He looked longingly and kept it. Love the movie still so much, as I love Whitney still! Off the topic, sorry, I am happy for Clive as well! Nothing wrong with the best of both lives!

What a surprise to me. Props to him for opening up about his personal relationships. The more folks that do this the more “normal” things will seem to the homophobes, hopefully sending them scurrying for the dark soon.
