Murray Bartlett going from SF to ‘Nashville’
Murray Bartlett wasn’t out of work for long.
The Aussie actor, who played Dom for the two seasons on HBO’s Looking, has been cast in a recurring role on TV’s Nashville.
Bartlett will play a successful men’s fashion designer named Jakob Fine in the country music drama which has moved from ABC to CMT for its fifth season, according to Deadline Hollywood.
It’s not yet known how Fine will work into the storyline since men’s fashion has not been a plot point in previous seasons.
Bartlett recently stepped back into his Looking role for a series finale movie that premiered on HBO in July.
The 45-year-old actor has a long list of television credits including regular roles on the US daytime soaps All My Children and Guiding Light as well as the Australian prime-time soap Home and Away.
Bartlett, who is openly gay, toured with Hugh Jackman in the Australian touring company production of Jackman’s Broadway hit The Boy From Oz.
