Morning Man: Marc Blucas!

Marc Blucas has kept plenty busy since his breakthrough role as Riley Finn in Buffy the Vampire Slayer including including the leads in the films The Killing Floor and Thr3e.

Marc has also had roles in the films When We Were Soldiers, The Alamo, Stay Cool and The Jane Austen Book Club and done guest spots on TV’s House, Castle and Lie to Me.

What I didn’t know was that Marc’s original career choice was basketball! The actor, now 38, was the star center on the Girard High School basketball team in Butler, Pennsylvania then went on to play at Wake Forest University from which he graduated in 1994.

He failed to make the NBA so moved to England to play pro basketball for a year with the British Basketball League’s Manchester Giants. He then dove into acting and played a basketball hero in the 1998 film Pleasantville before landing on Buffy the following year.
