Morning Man Classic: Maxwell Caulfield!

Maxwell Caulfield, a guy who so many of us had mad crushes on in the 80s when he starred in Grease 2 and the Dynasty spinoff The Colbys, turns 61 tomorrow.

I was in college living in a dorm when The Colbys had its 1985-87 run and since I was a big closet case, I had no one to turn to and say, “Isn’t Miles Colby HOT?”

But now I have all of you. Miles Colby was HOT and Maxwell Caulfield remains a very sexy man. I met him in 2013 on a red carpet at a theater opening and did not realize that in real life, he has a British accent!

He was with wife Juliet Mills who he has been married to since 1980 and could not have been more gracious.

Maxwell has been working steadily in television series (Emmerdale, Casualty, Strip Mall), films (Gettysburg, The Real Blonde, The Supernaturals), and stage (Chicago, Cactus Flower, Salonika) throughout the decades.

Thanks for the memories Maxwell – and here’s to many more!

2 Remarks

  1. I was living in England when the British soap opera Emmerdale started a new gay storyline with the character Aaron, so I had started to watch the show regularly, not just the gay storyline part of it, and I audibly gasped and squealed at the moment when I realized that Maxwell Caulfield was in it. I grew up watching Grease 2 and had the biggest crush on Michael, Maxwell Caulfield’s character, and seeing that he was still acting in something, somewhere after all those years was surprising, but welcome.

  2. Great Classic, Greg…you bring up a great point that we can openly share our feelings today. If we could have been this open years ago, I might have still been with my high-school love. He was my first, and I’ve never forgotten him. We were so in love with each other, but there was too much pressure on him. I decided to go to a college as far away as I could. Never saw him again, but he pops up in my dreams a lot. Anyhow, it’s good to be reminded of the very hot Maxwell Caulfield. Interesting to find out that he was in Casualty. I love that show. It’s one of the most entertaining on TV I also religiously followed the gay storyline of Emmerdale. All those episodes have been on You Tube.
