Morning Man Classic: Barry Coe!

This handsome actor died last month at the age of 84.

He’s Barry Coe and he played “Mr. Goodwrench” on TV commercials in the 1970s and 1980s.

He co-starred in one series, Follow the Sun, which aired on ABC during the 1961-1962 season, guest starred in 1962 on the first episode of the fourth season of NBC’s Western series Bonanza. He portrayed ranch hand Clay Stafford, who reveals himself to be the “fifth” Cartwright, a half brother to Little Joe (Michael Landon) via their mother Marie. He later was a semi-regular on the TV series Bracken’s World.

His film roles included Peyton Place, One Foot in Hell, The Wizard of Baghdad, The 300 Spartans, Fantastic Voyage, The Cat, Letter to Nancy, Jaws 2, and many more.
