Monday Morning Man: Van Hansis!
When the Daytime Emmy Awards are finally handed out in August (much later this year than usual!), I absolutely hope that the name of As the World Turns star Van Hansis is called as the winner of outstanding supporting actor in a daytime drama.
For several years now, Van has been turning in a wonderful portrayal of gay college student Luke Snyder. Even when the writers throw him a real wacky storyline or two (or three!), this gifted actor seems to find some truth in it and never stops being Luke. His chemistry with Jake Silbermann who plays his boyfriend Noah also seems very natural and their on-screen romance has done wonders for gay visibility on daytime TV.
Van is 27 and his full name is Evan Vanfossen Hansis!
