Monday Morning Man: Scott Caan!

http://ftpcontent.worldnow.com/kfmbfm/imglib/smack/NoShirtScott%27Caan.jpgWhen I asked Scott Caan during the TV Critics Assn. Summer Press Tour if he was a fan of Las Vegas, the NBC series that starred his father James Caan, I was surprised when he said he had never seen it!

I have a feeling that good ol’ dad will check out his son’s new CBS series Hawaii Five-O premiering next month.

Scott, who turns 34 today, plays Det. Danny “Danno” Williams opposite Alex O’Loughlin as Steve McGarrett with Daniel Dae Kim as Chin Ho Kelly and Grace Park as Kono Kalakua. He injured his knee last week but the injury will not affect the shooting schedule and might even be written into the script!

The hunky Scott began acting in the late 1990s with his first major film being Varsity Blues. He followed that with Ready to Rumble opposite David Arquette and American Outlaws with Colin Farrell.

He was wet and barely dressed in the action-thriller Into the Blue with Paul Walker and Jessica Alba and was part of the cast of Ocean’s Eleven and its two sequels. Scott also wrote and directed and had a supporting role in the 2006 film The Dog Problem.

Although he told us at TCA that he hadn’t been keen before to do a TV series, that began to change when he began appearing on Entourage in the recurring role of talent manager Scott Lavin.

All I have to say is: “Book me Danno!”
