Monday Morning Man: Oliver Kieran Jones!

Decided to catch up on the last five episodes of Glee last night on Hulu because my TV is out of commission.

Glad I did because I got to see Oliver Kieran-Jones, the Welsh actor who plays Kurt’s (Chris Colfer) first post-Blaine love interest Adam.

‘Chris and I get on really well,’ Oliver tells Billboard.com. ‘I think it was strange for Chris because I know they were looking for the guy for ages and they screen tested quite a few people. They couldn’t find the right balance, someone who wasn’t just goofy. But I didn’t test with Chris so I was a little nervous meeting him. The great thing has been — Chris and I like a lot of the same things, we have a very similar sense of humor.’

Prior to landing on Glee, Oliver had a recurring role on the series Episodes and appeared in the film 80 Minutes.

2 Remarks

  1. Thus far, I like Adam as a character (and Oliver Kieran Jones as a performer) very much. Adam is charming, witty and straight-forward; OKJ seems very much the same and carefully built a thorough backstory for Adam. Kurt & Adam have a very good chemistry, though a cooler one than Kurt & Blaine’s legendary chemistry. Time will tell what develops, if anything. Unlike many, I’m content (sort of) to enjoy the ride and enjoy watching my favorite performers stretch their performance “muscles”, though it does sometimes create angst for my favorite characters. Bottom line: Sadie Hawkins, Diva and I Do were all a lot of fun. Overall, I’ve been very happy with almost everything from Thanksgiving to I Do, as well as The Break-Up.

  2. One thing else: Welcome to Glee, OKJ (Oliver? Ollie?) Glad to have you and hope you survive the fandom ;) Bear with us, please; most of us think you’re great.
