Monday Morning Man: Kit Williamson!

Talented Kit Williamson turns 32 today and so it’s the perfect day to once again feature him as Morning Man.

He may be best known to most people as Ed Gifford on the series Mad Men but to me, he’s sexy Cal on the terrific web series EastSiders.

But Kit is so much more than Cal on the show which will soon premiere its third season. He also created the show and wrote and directed the episodes. And he put together a stellar cast that includes Van Hansis (As the World Turns), Constance Wu (Fresh Off the Boat), Stephen Guarino (Happy Endings), Matthew McKelligon and John Halbach who is Kit’s real-life partner and produces the series with him.

Kit began his career on Broadway, appearing in the Tony-nominated revival of Eric Bogosian’s Talk Radio while he was still an undergraduate acting student at Fordham University.

Kit has also had roles in the films Kiss Me, Kill Me and Retake.

I want to take this opportunity to give a shout out to the new website Kit and John launched earlier this month called Where Gentlemen Go, a gay travel and lifestyle blog for the modern gentleman. If I had not been in Las Vegas for my nephew’s wedding, I would have been at their launch party.

Kit writes on Facebook: “We’ve been planning this for months and are thrilled to finally share it with all of you! The website has three verticals: Go Out (Travel), Go Home (Lifestyle) and Go For It (Fitness) and we’ll be featuring daily interviews with gay men making an impact online. We also have some awesome weekly fixtures, including Play Gentle, a sex and relationship advice column with Aram Giragos, Getting Out There, a travel diary about overcoming anxiety with Glenn Garner and Getting Started, a fitness training program from Joseph Dean. Please check it out at www.wheregentlemengo.com.”

Happy birthday to Kit!

One Remark

  1. I think Kit is a very talented man…as an actor, a writer, a director and a producer as evidenced by EastSiders.
I wish him a very Happy Birthday.
