Monday Morning Man: Keith Urban!
At last night’s American Music Awards, I watched as nominee Keith Urban made his way down the red carpet with his wife, Nicole Kidman.
I have to say, they just looked like the happiest people there and this was before Keith won the award for favorite male country artist.
For such a high-profile couple under such constant scrutiny, they seem to have found their bliss together. Together for four years and the parents of baby daughter Sunday Rose, I wish them nothing but the best!
Keith is 42 and like Nicole, is from Australia. While she has an Oscar and other acting awards, he is the winner of two Grammys and a slew of Country Music Association Awards and Academy of Country Music Awards.
He had success as an artist Down Under before heading to the US in 1992. His self-titled solo album in 1999 made him a star and gave him his first number one single in America. His hit singles include But for the Grace of God, Somebody Like You, You’ll Think of Me, You Look Good In My Shirt, and Stupid Boy.
His eighth studio album, Defying Gravity, was released in March. The day before he and Nicole attended the AMAs, Keith performed a free concert in Pasadena for about 1,000 fans, many of whom camped overnight, at a Verizon Wireless store.

Keith Urban is a sweetheart and such a wonderful artist. He and Nicole seem so down to earth. A friend and I ran into them at a restaurant in Nashville and they talked to us just like we were good friends of theirs. A real down to earth couple and not full of themselves. I also wish them both the very best.
