Monday Morning Man: Jonah Platt!
On Saturday night, I attended a performance of The Last Breakfast Club at Rockwell Table & Stage in Los Feliz. It’s a musical parody of The Breakfast Club and a top-notch cast has been assembled for the summer-long run. One of the stars is Jonah Platt who recently completed a run on Broadway as Fiyero in Wicked. He can sing, he can act, he’s got charisma to spare and look at that head of hair! At certain points during the show the cast performs out in the audience and we were shocked and delighted when towards the end Jonah came up to our table and took the olives out of my friend Jim’s martini! (see photo below). After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, Jonah worked as a writers assistant on TV comedies such as Parks and Recreation and Family Guy. He shifted his focus to acting after appearing in L.A. productions of Bare and Floyd Collins and the 2014 Hollywood Bowl staging of Hair. Jonah, 30, is the older brother of Pitch Perfect and Dear Evan Hansen star Ben Platt. Now that’s a talented family!
