Meryl, Oprah and Sandra Bullock in same film?
Talk about an all-star cast!Variety reports that Universal Pictures has inked a pact to make an untitled movie set in the world of home network shopping that would star Meryl Streep, Sandra Bullock and Oprah Winfrey!
The film is from Sex and the City’s Michael Patrick King who will write and direct. Scott Stuber will produce the comedy.
The story follows the characters as they make their way through the maze of mania that surrounds marketing, marriages and the media.
Streep and Bullock have never appeared in a film together before although they did seem quite chummy this year during awards season when both were nominated for just about every award for their performances in Julie & Julia and The Blind Side, respectively.
Winfrey has appeared in very few films since her Oscar-nominated debut role in The Color Purple. She did three TV movies and also starred in 1998′s Beloved. All were dramas. Her only comedic role was a two-part gig as a therapist on Ellen during the famous coming out episodes.
With her talk show coming to an end, it looks like Oprah is ready to try some new things!
