Matt Bomer’s deleted “Magic Mike” scene
There were plenty of Matt Bomer fans, like me, who wanted to see more of the actor in the summer box office hit Magic Mike in which he played a male stripper alongside of Channing Tatum, Matthew McConaughey and Joe Manganiello.
But much of his solo stripping scene ended up on the editing room floor.
That’s why images from the scene, which surfaced on various websites including Queerty.com, are getting plenty of attention.
Bomer, who came out publicly as a gay man earlier this year, is seen wearing nothing but a G-string and his nether regions are perfectly manscaped.
‘We all had to go there,’ Bomer told People.com in June of the body grooming. ‘I’m not going to say it was fun, and personally I will never do it again, but for that project it was necessary. We were all in the boat together.’
The White Collar star added: ‘What was important to me was to tell the story authentically, and I wanted to reflect what the dancers in real life do. And that’s part of their job.’
Magic Mike grossed just under $155 million at the North American box office.
